If you don’t have growing feet, a traditional binding is usually preferred. Integrated bindings more useful on growing kids skis as you don’t have to remount the binding to change boot size. Integrated bindings allow more boot adjustment but are heavier and sometimes don’t allow the ski to flex as well as a traditional binding. Usually you will see the phrase “Integrated Binding” on web sites etc where those skis are sold vs “Skis sold Flat” on skis like your Badlands that do not have Integrated bindings plates attaches on them from the factory. Some skis come from the Factory with System bindings and a plate already attached at the factory or store that you HAVE to run a certain make or model of binding on. So if you’re a Look fan, either the konect SPX 100mm or the regular SPX 100mm. Atomic Backland skis are sold “Flat” meaning you can put any binding you wish on it which could be either a “System or Integrated Binding” like the Konect from Look or you could put on any traditional binding that has around a 100mm brake.
